Turn your photograph
into an artwork.

Dureta transforms a photograph of your own into an expressive artwork in our Oil Painting style — rich in colour, depth and painterly texture, while keeping the moment unmistakably yours.

From photograph to artwork

It begins with a photograph of your own — an evening table, a face, a stretch of coast.

Dureta preserves the composition, people and character of the original photograph, while reinterpreting the image through colour, texture and simplified detail.

The photograph remains the source. Nothing new is intentionally introduced; the visual language changes.

The Oil Painting style

Texture, colour
and depth.

Our Oil Painting style gives photographs a richer, more expressive character. Fine photographic detail is softened, colours become more considered and surfaces take on the visual texture associated with traditional oil painting.

The result feels less like a photograph and more like a piece made to live on the wall.

  • Rich texture

A layered, tactile-looking surface with visible painterly character.

  • Considered colour

Colour is simplified and balanced to give the image a more cohesive feel.

  • Softened detail

Photographic sharpness gives way to a calmer, more expressive interpretation.

Questions about the Oil Painting style

Can any photograph be used for the Oil Painting style?
Most photographs work well. A clear, well-lit image with a subject you can read easily gives the most convincing result. You upload one of your own photographs — a family, travel or everyday moment.
Can I see the artwork before I order?
Yes. The transformed artwork is shown in a large preview together with the product, size and framing you have selected. Nothing is produced until you place the order.
Will it look exactly like my original photograph?
The original photograph remains the foundation — its composition, people and defining details are preserved. Texture, surfaces and backgrounds are reinterpreted, so the result reads as an artwork of your moment rather than a copy of the photograph.
Is the artwork painted by hand?
No. Dureta creates an artistic interpretation of your photograph, which is then printed with museum-quality giclée printing on canvas or archival fine art paper.
Can I order it framed?
Canvas always includes a solid wood floating frame in an Oak or Dark Oak finish. Fine Art Prints can be ordered framed in one of four wooden finishes, or as a print only.
